Information on Castle Stuart Golf Links
This is a relatively new course falling in the Championships Links category. Notwithstanding relative youth, Castle Stuart hosted the Scottish Open for three consecutive years: 2011, 2012 and 2013 and then again in 2016. Also in 2011 it hosted the first ever European Tour event in the Scottish Highlands.
Benefiting from initial success and international publicity the course’s reputation has grown. It has been named as the 33rd best golf course in the world according to a top 100 list compiled by Golf World/Today’s Golfer.
The course boasts an eye-catching art deco clubhouse. Local features of interest include Moray Firth wildlife, Ben Wyvis mountain, Kessock Bridge, Fort George and Chanonry Point. Dolphins can often be seen cavorting at the latter site. Other local visitor attractions include Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns and Cawdor Castle.
Looking to the future, there are plans to establish a second links course, 55 bed golf hotel and lodges.

The course is located on the southern side of the Moray Firth, about 7.5 miles NE of Inverness.
