John S Kennedy Bengal Tigress Monument. This was the gift of a son of Glasgow, John Stewart Kennedy, who had emigrated to New York and made his fortune there.

Stewart Memorial Fountain. This commemorates the building of a clean, public water facility for the city of Glasgow in the 1850s. Water was sourced from Loch Katrine, which remains the situation today. Prior to the commissioning of the fresh water supply various diseases were rampant in Glasgow. The memorial is named after Robert Stewart of Murdostoun who was the Provost (Mayor) of Glasgow in 1854.The fountain was designed by James Sellars who based the the theme of the sculptures on Sir Walter Scott‘s poem “Lady of the Lake”.
