Introduction
This evening, I am reporting on the Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum. This started life as a philanthropic project in the late 19th century. Unfortunately, recent years have witnessed a fall in visitor numbers combined with a deterioration in the physical condition of the building. However, ways have been found of keeping the building operational in the short term.
