Thus evening, I am reporting on a recent small group hike covering the Black Lochs Circuit, near Connel in Argyll and Bute,West of Scotland. Nearest major town is Oban, 5 miles to the S.W.

Information on the Black Lochs Hike
This pleasant circuit visits the Black Lochs, a series of small and attractive lochs fringed by native woodland. This route is augmented by distant views of Ben Cruachan, a mountain which reaches 3694 feet. There are usually many cattle grazing along the route.
As can be seen from the images below, weather conditions were tolerable and the route took in a wide variety of scenery and other aspects including:
- Snow-capped Ben Cruachan (mountain) which reaches 3695 feet.
- Horses.
- Highland Cattle
- Tree lichens
- Rugged scenery.
- Lochs and lakes.
- Cyclists.
- Vibrant yellow Gorse blooms.
