Introduction
This evening, I am posting images and information on the luxuriant garden at Dunvegan Castle. This castle is the home of the Chief of Clan MacLeod. Location is the north coast of the Isle of Skye in the Scottish Highlands.
This post has been prompted by a report that the garden has been named the best in Scotland.This follows the garden being voted the Royal Horticultural Society Partner Garden winner for 2022.

Dunvegan Castle sits at the heart of a 41,000 acre estate on Skye. This castle is a magnet for thousands of visitors each year.
This garden was originally laid out in the 18th century and is backed by an extensive mature woodland. It now falls under the purview of clan chief and estate director, Hugh MacLeod.
Here can be found a kaleidoscope of colours with emphasis on lush greens supported by other seasonal flowering plants,
Visitors can also experience the woodland walks, pools and water gardens, burn (stream) and waterfall.
An excellent spot to relax and enjoy in conjunction with a visit to the famous castle.
In viewing the lush plant and tree life bear in mind that the Isle of Skye experiences about 52 inches (1325mm) of rain per annum.
